This 8.5-acre park enjoys a spectacular location
overlooking Battleship Cove, home of the World War II battleship,
U.S.S. Massachusetts. The Visitors Center features a multi-screen
slide show, "The Fabric of Fall River," which tells the
history of the city that once produced more cotton textiles than
any other in the Western Hemisphere.
The park hugs the shore of the Taunton River (Mt.
Hope Bay) and offers a boardwalk, benches, groves of trees, an antique
carousel, public sailing programs, and a three-acre meadow perfect
for summer concerts, craft festivals and family picnics. The newest
addition to the cove is the H.M.S. Bounty, a 169-foot Tall Ship
built for the filming of Mutiny on the Bounty.
