Jug End, one of the most scenic areas in Berkshire
County, is a joint acquisition of the Massachusetts Department of
Environmental Management and the Department
of Fisheries and Wildlife. Covering 1,158 acres, Jug End –
once a popular resort – is now managed for "passive recreation"
and environmental research.

Park Directions
Jug End State Reservation is located in the south-west corner of
Massachusetts.
From east or west: take the Massachusets Turnpike (I 90) to
exit 2 (Lee): Rte. 102 west to Rte. 7 south to Rte. 23 west to Rte.
41 south. Take the first right onto Mt. Washington Road, then left
onto Jug End Road. The Park is on the right down the road.
