Many opportunities for camping at Shawme-Crowell State Forest

This quiet year-round campground at the beginning of Cape Cod has over 285 sites in a wooded setting. Yurt camping is now available. More than 15 miles of roads and trails provide hiking and equestrian access to over 700 acres of pitch pine and scrub oak landscape. Parking access to the beach at Scusset State Reservation is provided in camping fee.

Things to know before you go…
Campground office hours are 8am-10pm. The regular camping season is from mid-April through mid-October. Off-season camping is available Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 10/14/04–4/14/05 and 10/10/05–12/31/05.

Park Directions
Shawme-Crowell State Forest is located on Cape Cod in southeastern Massachusetts.
From the north: Take Rte. 3 south to the Sagamore Bridge and Rte. 6 east. Follow Rte. 6 over the bridge to exit 2 and the intersection with Rte. 130 in Sandwich. Follow Rte. 130 into Sandwich and follow the State Forest signs 3 miles to the Forest entrance on the left.
From the west: Take Rte 495 south to the intersection with Rte 6 east. Follow Rte. 6 along the Cape Cod Canal to the intersection with Rte. 3 and the Sagamore Bridge rotary. Follow Rte. 6 east over the Sagamore Bridge t exit 2 in Sandwich. Follow Rte. 130 into Sandwich and follow the State Forest signs 3 miles to the Forest entrance on the left.
